Loan Modification

I’m applying for loan modification but the lender would not entertain me until I get an authorization letter from my attorney due to i’m on BK chapter 13 payment plan for 5 years. I’ve been contacting my attorney’s office for a month and they’re making a lot of excuses ie. he’s not giving an answer yet, will call you back and this is been a month….So, what will i do, can i drop my case and then find another attorney?
