When you signnup with an attorney based mod company basicly all you do is forward all your docs to the attorney/company and just sit tight.
All negotiations are done by the attorneys loss mitigation department.
If your lender calls you just avoid them and call your attorney and tell them what’s going on.

There is one highly reputable loan mortgage modification
company I’d specially recommend. They will work with
your present lender first, to try and make your payments
    affordable.

You wasted your money. They will not give you a modification through him, just talk to them directly.

Then WHY on earth did you hire him????
You don’t need anyone to DO your loan modification, you can do it yourself. They don’t have to do anything. You got yourself INTO this loan and you can act to have it modified yourself.
You want loan modification, so if bank calls you, SPEAK with them, work this. You speak with your lender, with many people at your lender until you get this done.
A loan modification generally is an adjustment of the interest rate ONLY. It changes from adjustable to fixed or from higher fixed rate to lower fixed rate. Lender won’t go to time and trouble and expense of doing this if you aren’t good for the payments. If there is NO WAY you can/will pay, they don’t want to waste their time.
There are some government programs encouraging banks to work with their borrowers to modify their loans. But lenders don’t HAVE to. Sometimes they will even forgive some payments, let you pay interest only temporarily, or forgive a small portion of principal. But you have to show that you are actively working to make this work out.
